Course Description
This is a one day course aimed at
delegates who have previously attended the Introductory course, or those who
have a sound knowledge of the basic features of the application.
The topics below represent a suggested
course content. However, these can be adapted to meet specific objectives.
Course Contents
- Review of the Basics
Setting up related tables, review of basic queries and
forms will be shown.
- Advanced Queries
Action queries will be looked at.
Parameter queries and action queries, such as delete, make table and archive
will be examined.
- Customising a Form
Forms are looked at in greater detail in
this session. Creating calculated fields will be looked at along with
Access’ wizards to create specialised field types (e.g. List boxes,
Combination boxes, Command and Toggle buttons etc). Finally, creating a main/subform
will be covered.
- Security
How to secure an Access database by
activating a logon procedure, creating user accounts and assigning permissions
and encryption.
