Course Description
This is a one day course designed for either new users of
PowerPoint and Windows or for users transferring from other types of graphic applications,
and covers all the basic features of the package.
The topics below represent a suggested course content. However,
these can be adapted to meet specific objectives.
Course Contents
PowerPoint Screen Overview
The different elements of the screen, terminology, dialogue
boxes, default settings and how to move around the PowerPoint environment
- Templates
Creating and Customising templates to standardise company
presentations and how these can be useful for users who have little experience of
PowerPoint
- Charts
How to create text charts using title slides and text
accompanied by bullet points. Additionally, basic charting concepts and terminology are
explained when creating bar, line, pie (graphs) and organisation charts
- Adding Pictures & Objects
How to insert pictures (Clipart) in a presentation, together
with sizing, moving and amending the appearance
- Text Formatting
Features which accentuate text, such as alignment,
bold/underline/italics, fonts size colour and special effects together with text
frames
- Screen Shows
How to view the presentation electronically either on the
computer screen or by using a special projector to view the presentation on a projector
screen. (This can only be done if the equipment is available)
- File Management
To show delegates good practice when saving files, opening
existing files and also printing
